Dancing is a fun way to exercise and something fun. Encourage your child to invent a dance to go long with a favorite song. Give your child the opportunity to be the teacher and instruct you in their new dance.

Rainbow Pita Pockets

Makes 12 pockets
Ingredients:
12 Whole wheat pita pockets
2 cups Grape Tomatoes
1 cup Cheese, shredded low-fat
12 ounces lean meat
Directions:
Stuff the pita pocket with the lean meat, cheese and grape tomatoes.

Ingredients:
1 square Graham Cracker
1 tbsp Peanut butter or cream cheese
4 Raisins
1 tbsp Cheddar cheese, shredded low-fat
2 Green peas
1 Grape
Directions:
Spread peanut or cream cheese on cracker. Sprinkle grated cheese at top of cracker for hair. Place raisins on cracker for mouth. Use peas for eyes and grape for nose.
Banana Shake

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups Milk low-fat
1 Banana, Frozen
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Cinnamon (optional)
Directions:
Put all ingredients in blender. Blend on high for about 20 seconds. Pour into glass and serve. Sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired.
Fruity Italian Soda

Ingredients:
3 tbsp Juice Frozen Concentrate, any flavor
1/2 cup Sparkling water
1/4 cup Milk, low-fat
Directions:
Put frozen juice concentrate into a glass. Add sparkling water and milk. Stir it up. Add a few ice cubes and enjoy.
Make family meals a special time to eat together.

- Cook once, eat twice: Cut down on prep time. Cook and freeze key ingredients.
- Keep the cupboard stocked: Pack your pantry with staples like canned beans, tuna and fruit; pasta, rice, and baking mixers and frozen vegetables.

Mineral Bars

Makes 2 dozens bars
Ingredients:
3/4 cup Peanut butter, creamy
1/2 cup + 2 tbsp Honey
2 cups Granola
1 cup Old fashioned oatmeal
1/2 cup Raisins
1/2 cup dried Apricots, chopped
1/2 cup Sunflower seeds
1/4 cup Walnuts, chopped
1/4 cup unsalted soynuts
2 Eggs lightly beaten
2 cups Crispy rice cereal
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 320 F. Grease baking pan. In a sauce pan over low heat, melt peanut butter and honey. Let cool. In large bowl, mix granola, oatmeal, raisins, apricots, sunflower seeds, walnuts and soy nuts. Stir in peanut butter and honey mixture and evenly coat all ingredients. Slowly mix in eggs. Stir in rice cereal. Press mixture into prepared pan and bake for 20-30 minutes. Let cool, cut into bars and enjoy.
Tropical Fruit Smoothie

Ingredients:
1 cup Orange juice
1 cup Vanilla yogurt, low-fat
1 cup Strawberries, frozen
1 Banana
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Directions:
Place all ingredients in blender. Blend mixture on high-speed until creamy and smooth. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
Fruity Vinaigrette

Makes 1 1/2 cups
Ingredients:
5 tablespoons Olive oil
4 tablespoons Vinegar
1 cup Apple juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 small clove Garlic, minced
Directions:
Put all ingredients into jar or container that will not leak. Put the top on tightly. Shake jar. Shake each time before you put it on a salad.
